Playparks and Skate Parks

From playparks to skate parks to landscaped gardens, there are a host of parks, gardens and open spaces across Sidmouth and East Devon to enjoy. Whether you want somewhere quiet to take stock, somewhere to burn off some energy or somewhere to enjoy the plants, you'll find lots of places in the region.

Sidmouth has its very own skate park where there are regular events taking place so that the whole community can get involved in a host of activities, not just skateboarding, but also BMX and other sports.

The town also has several play parks, including the Ham Play Park which was refurbished at the end of 2022.

Sidmouth is home to the UK's only civil arboretum, which is free for the public to enjoy all year around. During the autumn, there are Walking Festivals which include tours of the arboretum. You can also find accessible tree walks as part of the Sidmouth Town Map.

Green spaces across East Devon

With the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and East Devon Way, among other sites in the region, East Devon is the perfect place to visit if you love green spaces.
