Guide Car park offers

Winter Offer: 1st November 2023 – 31st March 2024

The East Devon Winter offer allows motorists to park all day in any* of our car parks for a single payment of £2. The offer is valid between the 1st November 2023 and the 31st March 2024. You can make payment by Cash or Card at any of our pay and display machines or by using the dedicated Ringo code “42973”. Your ticket or Ringo session will then be valid across of all our car parks on the day of purchase.

How to take advantage of the offer;

Cash or Card – Make a payment of £2 at any of our Pay & Display machines and the ticket you receive will be valid until midnight that day. You can use the same ticket in any car park that day. Even if the ticket does not show an expiry time of 23:59, our Civil Enforcement Officers will check how much you have paid rather than when the ticket expires.

Ringo – Use the Ringo app or telephone service to select the location code “42973”. For a payment of £2 your Ringo parking session will show as valid in all of our car parks. Please note that the “Winter Offer” location may not display in the list of closest car parks when using the app, in this case you must search for the specific location code to make use of this offer.

Frequently asked questions

What time can I buy a ticket? – Currently you can buy a ticket at any time after midnight on the day that you would like to park, it will then be valid until 23:59 on the day of purchase.

Does the offer include short stay car parks? – Yes, you can park all day in any of our car parks, other than those listed in the ‘exclusion’ section below.

Can I park overnight in my motorhome using 2 x £2 winter offer tickets? – No, all overnight stays in Maer Road and on Queen’s Drive Echelon have to be paid for using the £11 overnight tariff, or dedicated Ringo code ‘42968’.

Does this mean that I no longer need a parking permit? – The East Devon Town Modular parking permit works out at about 33p per day across the course of the year, and is not connected to the £2 winter offer. If you wish to park in a short stay car park all day, then a £2 ticket will normally be the most convenient and cost effective way to achieve this. Town permit restrictions still apply.

Exclusions - Sideshore Car Park in Exmouth, Otter Estuary Nature Reserve in Budleigh Salterton, and Lyme Street in Axminster, are not included in the offer as they are managed by East Devon but are owned privately.

Feedback – We are aware that some car parks can be extremely busy at peak times, and we are committed to reviewing the winter offer next year to ensure that it serves it’s intended purpose. If you have any feedback on the winter offer, good, or bad, then please email reasthope@eastdevon.gov.uk and your feedback can be included within our review
