Guide Car park offers

Winter pricing in EDDC car parks

From 1st November 2024 - 31st March 2025, you can park for up to 4 hours in most short stay car parks, or up until midnight in other East Devon District Council car parks.

To apply the winter offer, use the RingGo app on your mobile, entering the location code 42976 at car parks with a four-hour limit, or 42973 at sites where you can park until midnight. Alternatively, buy a paper ticket from one of the machines using either cash or card.

With Christmas approaching, EDDC's winter car parking promotion encourages people to shop local and support their High Street. Enjoy a day out this winter, exploring what East Devon has to offer, without having to rush back to your car. The reduced car park charges are expected to boost trade throughout the traditionally quieter winter season.

Frequently asked questions

What time can I buy a ticket? – Currently you can buy a ticket at any time after midnight on the day that you would like to park, it will then be valid until 23:59 on the day of purchase.

Does the offer include short stay car parks? – Yes, you can park all day in any of our car parks, other than those listed in the ‘exclusion’ section below.

Can I park overnight in my motorhome using 2 x £2 winter offer tickets? – No, all overnight stays in Maer Road and on Queen’s Drive Echelon have to be paid for using the £11 overnight tariff, or dedicated Ringo code ‘42968’.

Does this mean that I no longer need a parking permit? – The East Devon Town Modular parking permit works out at about 33p per day across the course of the year, and is not connected to the £2 winter offer. If you wish to park in a short stay car park all day, then a £2 ticket will normally be the most convenient and cost effective way to achieve this. Town permit restrictions still apply.

Exclusions - Sideshore Car Park in Exmouth, Otter Estuary Nature Reserve in Budleigh Salterton, and Lyme Street in Axminster, are not included in the offer as they are managed by East Devon but are owned privately.

Feedback – We are aware that some car parks can be extremely busy at peak times, and we are committed to reviewing the winter offer next year to ensure that it serves it’s intended purpose. If you have any feedback on the winter offer, good, or bad, then please email reasthope@eastdevon.gov.uk and your feedback can be included within our review
