For the past 21 years David Kennard and his family have hosted Sheepdog and Falconry Shows at Borough Farm. Starting as a farm diversification project, the Wednesday evening shows combine the amazing talents of David's sheepdogs as they work the sheep far into the distance together with hilarious fun as they round up the ducks, together with a superb display of amazing falcons performed by North Devon Falconer Martin Simkins.
On Tuesday mornings the Borough Farm Farmyard shows combine Sheepdogs, ducks and a host of other Farmyard Animals as, with just a hint of pantomime they tell the story of the rescue of Jemima the duck in the castle.
On Thursday Evenings David takes small groups on Shepherding Experience Walks around the coastal ground of Mortehoe where his sheep graze on ground rented from the National Trust. The walks are an insight into shepherding life on the beautiful and rugged North Devon Coast, and to see these amazing sheepdogs, 'Fly' and 'Sweep' working far into the distance.
