Nature’s Nutrition is nestled in the small busy town of Bideford along the pedestrianised section of Mill Street. We are a small, co-operative shop providing a vast choice to our customers who wish to feel good, do good and want good for themselves, their family, the community and the environment. It’s our aim to support our customers choices to do better or feel better in their lifestyles – whether that’s for their diet, their health or for the environment.
We sell a range of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and earth-friendly products. We aim to reduce single use plastic by offering refills for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, handwash and a range of home hygiene products. We also stock loose superfoods, herbs and spices and grains, beans, lentils, dried fruits and nuts. If you bring your own container you’ll also receive a 5% discount on all edible refills.
We stock everything from bamboo toothbrushes to peanut butter, porridge oats to shampoos and from bamboo socks to chocolate. As much of our stock as possible is also organic. Alongside this range of produce we also have a selection of supplements and A.Vogel Herbal Remedies to help boost your health and well-being.
We believe in stocking and supporting local, independent suppliers where possible – we stock Sabins coffee roasted in North Cornwall and Red Dog Artisan Bread (fresh on Fridays!). On Thursday's we receive a delivery of beautiful organic fruit and Veg from Riverford in South Devon. Alongside our regular suppliers we also host a number of pop-up events featuring small, local businesses throughout the year that offer anything from gluten-free bakes to hand-made soaps. Throughout the year we host events such as seed-swaps and information talks and often attend outside events such as the North Devon Plastic Free Fayres.
Nature’s Nutrition work with our members and volunteers to ensure that our shop helps to provide choice to help you thrive in a confusing world. We offer a friendly atmosphere which welcomes people from all walks of life with no judgement. We aim to be ethical in our buying decisions and this is governed by our members. We buy local where possible and consider transport miles for all our purchasing decisions.
We aim to tread lightly in our environment and encourage others to do so – we’ve worked hard to offer as many plastic-free or refillable options as possible and we continue to aim to reduce, reuse and recycle.
The shop is open from 9.30am – 5.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 10am – 5.30pm on Monday to Thursday. Our staff are incredibly friendly and shop with us so can often help advise on our products if you have any questions or queries.
