Situated in the pretty Exmoor village of North Molton, The Poltimore Inn is an attractive traditional country pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The pub has its own 70 seat restaurant with glorious countryside views, and a beer garden. There are five bedrooms within the pub itself, including doubles and family rooms, as well as four new lodges in the pub grounds. These have two double bedrooms in each, with their own ensuite bathrooms. The rooms can be booked separately or together, and make a perfect base if you are visiting the North Devon and Exmoor area for business or pleasure.
This award winning pub is known locally for its great home cooked food. The Poltimore Inn is winner of the North Devon Business Awards 2019 Best Dining Experience - Family Dining Award, and has also won a Taste of the West Gold Award. The menus change seasonally and there are daily specials, with vegetarian options. The pub uses locally sourced foods whenever possible. Look out for the popular ‘Poltimore Inn Platters’ or PIPs, sumptuous selections of smoked fish, sausage, salami & vegetarian treats. Share with friends, or indulge yourself, if the Exmoor air has stirred your appetite.
The wide selection of beers includes local brews Exmoor Ale and Otter Ale and a different guest Ale each week. There’s also a locally produced gin, Wicked Wolf.
North Molton is a great base for walks on Exmoor. Pick up a leaflet at the pub with details of circular walks from the village (6 km – 15 km)
