Our independent hotel is perfectly located in Ilfracombe, ideal for exploring Exmoor Park, the Atlantic Coast, Saunton, Woolacombe and the harbour town with its variety of retail, food and drink, attractions and beaches.
Ilfracombe is the most wonderful location for your stay in North Devon.
It is a little foodie haven with a spread of quaint pubs, traditional tea rooms, fresh seafood offerings and a brace of Michelin rated restaurant.
Art lovers will enjoy the galleries, Verity and the vibe that emanates from the local community. Local arts and crafts are well represented with outlets along Fore Street and the High Street.
With plenty of outdoor events throughout the summer, to keep the whole family engaged. You can take your pick from Jack in the Green in May to Combe Christmas in late November including water and land based spectaculars each year. We partner with local activity partners to get you discounts to activities including surfing, coasteering, golfing and much more.
The Carlton boasts 38 brand new guest rooms all with fully tiled bathrooms, comfortable beds, quality linen and bedding, contemporary finishes. On site we have a well-stocked bar, featuring local ales, spirits, draught beer and great value wines. Together with a fantastic Brasserie food offer. Services operate 24/7.
