Moor and Sea Holidays. Self catering holiday lodges.
Moor and Sea Holidays is set in a wonderful location overlooking Exmoor, five minutes from the sea at Lynmouth, perfectly situated to explore the stunning coastline, moorland and award winning beaches of North Devon.
Over the last few months we have been renovating our lodges and landscaping the gardens to create beautiful new spaces to suit families, couples or holidays with friends.
Our stone built lodges are all south facing, with views over Exmoor.
There are 6 one bedroom terrace lodges. Each has been fully refurbished and has its own private outside dining area with screening and lovely planting. Inside there is an open plan living and dining area, both have picture windows overlooking the gardens and the moor. With fully equipped kitchens, stylish and cosy living room and a dining area that has been designed to create both a place to sit and play games or read as well as a place to eat. The living area has a comfy double sofa bed for extra guests, allowing up to 4 people per lodge. A spacious double bedroom provides a calm and peaceful sanctuary.
To the other end of the grounds lie our large, three bedroom, two bathroom detached lodges. Both of these have spacious open plan living areas with French doors opening onto their private dining terrace and more informal seating areas with far reaching views over the moor, morning coffee as the sun rises, star gazing by your own fire bowl as the night draws in.
The open plan design incorporates a sociable sitting and dining room with a cozy side snug for quiet moments. There is a light and airy kitchen to the rear and three tranquil bedrooms, two doubles and one twin, there is also a large sofa bed to be found in the living room allowing up to 8 people to stay.
The newly landscaped gardens have been designed and planted to encourage wildlife, including wild flower meadow planting and fruit trees for the bees and birds. Surrounding Moor and Sea we have lovely fields in which to play, wild camp or just walk enjoying the views.
There is an art studio where we can offer rainy day craft sessions or our guests can book a fused glass class or fun art workshop. This will be available from mid July
Through out our build we have been mindful of using environmentally friendly materials and design where ever possible. From natural or recycled insulation and building materials, natural wood flooring to new energy efficient appliances throughout. Sustainable choices have also been used in the decoration of the lodges; from gorgeous cork walling and eco-friendly paint, to luxurious bamboo towels and soft linen bedding.
We are lucky to be able to offer high speed Fibre broadband through out the site.
Two electric car charging points will be available shortly.
We are on hand with local information and recommendations to help you make the most of your time here.
