Longlands

About

Luxury Glamping, quite literally at it's best! Gold winner at the Devon & SouthWest Tourism awards for the past 2 consecutive years.

Longlands’ five luxurious Safari lodges nestle into the hillside of a secluded valley overlooking the North Devon coast, on the western border of Exmoor National Park.  Enjoy 17 acres of beautiful countryside, a private boating lake, stream side walks, ancient beech woods and a magical hot tub with views across the valley an onto the sea and setting sun, even an on site shop and full menu of homemade meals.  The rest of the text can stay as is…..

Each lodge can sleep up to 6 in a King bed, a double cabin bed and 2 twin beds and has its own ensuite shower and separate wash room.  We are also happy to welcome up to 2 dogs per lodge.

There is a wood burning stove to keep you toastie warm in all weathers, a vintage Chesterfield sofa to curl up on and a blanket box fllled with our favourite games. We have tried to think of everything that you will need for your stay, from firewood to firelighters, coffee to candles and lemons to loo paper: you should only need to bring your clothes!

We can also provide catering, organise activities, provide details of the best pubs and restaurants...you name it! Our coastal location and proximity to Exmoor means that there are endless opportunities for fun and adventure: Surf some waves!  Paddle along the coast. Fly like a bird. Hack to Hunters Inn. Gallop along the beach. Abseil down a cliff.  Launch yourself into the sea!

We like to think of ourselves as a "Boutique Hotel with canvas sides" but perhaps our guests are best placed to describe us: "Absolute perfection - beautiful, comfortable - extraordinary mix of luxury and simplicity in a setting of incomparable beauty. An inspiration!"

Public Transport Directions

Train

The nearest train station to Longlands is Barnstaple (12 miles away), however, train routes and connections often make Tiverton Parkway a more convenient station, even though it is 40 miles away. If coming from Barnstaple the Filers 309 Bus stops at Easter Close Cross, practically at the end of the drive.

Taxi

If coming from Tiverton we recommend a taxi: Andy’s Cabs, call Andy or Philippa on 07920 032293 or Taxi Anne & Paul on 01271 212212. For parties of up to seven contact Alan Pentecost on 07980 155820 and for larger parties book a mini bus from Mark Booker on 01271 883711.

Aeroplane

If travelling from further afield our two nearest airports are Bristol (90 miles / 1 hour 50 minutes) and Exeter (57 miles / 1 hour 10 minutes).
