Holiday Home Hunter

About

Holiday Home Hunter, based in the popular seaside resort of Woolacombe in North Devon, specialises in contemporary seafront self-catering holiday apartments and cottages overlooking the sea, sand and surf.

Our extensive portfolio of coastal properties all have a sea view and many are right on the seafront, allowing you to really enjoy the glorious North Devon coastline, much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have properties situated in the award-winning surfing and beach resort of Woolacombe, which provides perfect conditions for a number of water sports and is ideal for family seaside holidays. We also have accommodation in the historic Doomsday book village of Mortehoe which is steeped in history and tales of smugglers or just one lovely property in the village of Croyde with its quaint thatched cottages and great pubs and tea rooms. Neighbouring Ilfracombe with its historic harbour and great places to eat is fast becoming the cultural and foodie hub of the region.

Wherever you choose to base yourself in North Devon, you will be greeted with spectacular views, award winning beaches and plenty to see and do. Much of the coastline falls in the North Devon AONB and both the coast and much of the surrounding countryside is owned and managed by the National Trust, so remains unspoilt. The region has a number of spectacular coastal paths which offer walks you will never forget and with the Exmoor National Park right on the doorstep North Devon offers everything you could want for in a holiday in England.

Holiday Home Hunters’ properties feature a range of facilities and are suitable for all manner of groups, from small, intimate cottages and apartments that sleep two and have wonderful, romantic views, to large apartments and detached houses perfect for a group or family holiday. You can choose anything from a cottage or apartment to a spacious detached house, giving you the privacy and space, you need for the perfect break in Devon without having to compromise on that “Home from Home” feeling.

With some of the best surfing and body boarding waves in the UK, clean safe huge sandy beaches with rock pools for hours of fun, clotted cream teas, ice creams, pasties, unspoilt coastal and countryside walks, bike trails, fun days out, great family friendly pubs serving local produce and real ales, live music in abundance, fish and chips or gourmet food, boat trips to see seals and Lundy Island, fishing, golf with 5 great courses within ½ hour, kayaking, relaxing and unwinding…. North Devon is the perfect destination for your UK break.

It isn’t just the beaches that North Devon is famous for, you’ll also find incredible edibles at a range of restaurants and eateries with menus created from locally sourced produce. For a real foodie adventure, make sure to stop off in Ilfracombe and explore Fore Street where you’ll find a whole host of restaurants offering cuisine from around the world all with a North Devon twist. Along with Woolacombe and Mortehoe, great for places to eat in themselves, you’ll be able to explore nearby villages like Georgeham, East Down, Braunton, West Down, Berrynarbour, Hele and the town of Barnstaple. All offering some great pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and cafes. The region is famous for its Ruby Beef and locally distilled gin and by staying in one of our properties, you’re ideally placed to try everything!
