Welcome to Hidden Valley, an award-winning campsite and touring caravan park in the rolling hills of north Devon. This site is open all year and Hidden Valley Touring Caravan and Holiday Park is justly proud of its numerous awards, including the Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award, a 5-star rating from Visit England, winners of Holiday Park of the Year and recipient of the new AA Pennants Award.
Whether you’re looking for a campsite to pitch your tent of a touring caravan space, this campsite provides it all and you can be guaranteed a highly rated and wonderful stay.
Any holiday maker will tell you that there are plenty of campsites in Devon, but not many can match us for location and quality. We’re a stone’s throw from some of the region’s best beaches. Woolacombe, with its sandy beach is nearby, as is the Tunnel beaches in Ilfracombe, both these locations have Blue Flag and Quality Coast Awards. The Tunnels Beaches are particularly fascinating and are a truly unique experience. If you’re looking for something a bit more exciting, you can always head to Croyde Bay and join in with the surfing that takes place there, or perhaps Saunton Sands, which is a wonderful day out with picturesque landscape and many family attractions nearby. There are also a number of National Trust properties nearby that you are welcome to explore. Our helpful onsite staff will be able to offer all the advice you need and directions!
Other sites in Devon are hard-pressed to match the standards of our 5-star site, which has been equipped with the best camping facilities, so all you need is to arrive, relax and enjoy your holiday.
Otter’s Creek and Kingfisher Meadow sites both have first class amenity blocks, which incorporate thermostatically controlled showers, WCs, wash basins, hair dryers, free shaver/electric points and family shower rooms.
The Otter’s Creek amenity block, which is open all year, has underfloor heating and a disabled shower room.
Other features include a laundrette, inside or covered dishwashing areas, wet suit washing facilities, chemical disposal points and recycling and refuse sites.
There is also a well-stocked, licenced onsite shop which is packed with local produces, including fresh bread from the local baker and meat supplied by a local butcher, perfect for those summer BBQs! You can also order newspapers and stock up on convenience foods and don’t forget the most important items: chocolate, sweets and ice cream! It is possible to order a grocery pack which will be ready for your arrival to make life that little bit easier, the onsite shop also offers practical goods, such as camping gas and equipment and bbqs among other things.
If you’d rather not do your own cooking while on holiday, our Lakeside Restaurant is open daily during Spring and Summer and offers high quality local food, you can even have a delicious Devonshire Cream Tea while you’re in the region!
While there are lots of family friendly things to do and many glorious sites in the region, there is little reason to leave the campsite, so you won’t even need to drive around too much while you’re here. You can explore the local forest, do some bird watching, build dams in the stream, play in our play parks or even pick up the Cycle Route 27 to Ilfracombe or on the Tarka Trail. You might even be lucky enough to spot our resident otter!
Dogs are very welcome at Hidden Valley Park, we do ask for dogs to be kept on a lead when in the touring, camping and garden areas, but the woods, dog exercise area and in the camping field when it isn’t in use are free for roaming!
