Welcome to the Glen Devon Hotel based in the beautiful area of Ilfracombe.
This family-run hotel is centrally located in a quiet position with beautiful sea and coastal views. It is within easy walking distance of Ilfracombe’s town centre where you’ll find a variety of shops, theatre, cinema, promenade, beaches and the North Devon coastal path. Ilfracombe is a stunning coastal town with gorgeous golden sands nearby, perfect for relaxing or surfing and on the edge of Exmoor National Park. It is a charming and busy town with regular farmers’ markets and a good mix of independent stores, as well as pubs, restaurants and shops. From the harbour, guests can board boats going to Lundy Island, one of Devon’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Take in the magnificent views of Ilfracombe while enjoying a traditional full English breakfast as part of your stay at the Glen Devon Hotel. The Glen Devon Hotel has been run by the Smith family since 1989 and they are always on hand to make sure you get the very best out of your stay.
All the bedrooms at the Glen Devon Hotel come with colour television, DVD players and freeview, as well as a clock radio, hair dryer, USB ports and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities with choices of family, twin and double rooms available. Children and pets are also welcome to stay, making it a perfect base for anyone who wants a family holiday in a beautiful part of Devon. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished giving you a warm and relaxing home from home and you can choose between fully ensuite rooms and shared facilities. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel for guests to use.
There is a wide choice of breakfast options available, including a traditional full English breakfast, which is cooked to order and an optional evening meal. In the evening, guests can choose from a varied menu which changes daily and is freshly prepared onsite. Afterwards, you can relax in the cosy lounge with a licensed bar where you can unwind with the family or new found friends. The lounge also includes board games for guests to use and in the warmer weather, guests are welcome to sit and enjoy a drink or two on the lawn area, which is the perfect spot for watching the sunset.
There is ample free parking in the private car park, so guests bringing cars need not worry about parking and have the freedom to explore the wider north Devon area.
