Visit our 17th-century picturesque character cottages, set in 4 acres of semi-rural countryside in the quiet hamlet of Kerscott, Swimbridge. It will provide a peaceful haven for all to enjoy and each cottage has enough space for all the family to experience a truly unique stay.
Animal Ark Cottages is the perfect spot to discover the beautiful Devon countryside, stunning beaches, that are only a short drive away or stay and enjoy all Animal Ark has to offer.

We are a family business with two self-catering cottages. As previously mentioned the cottages are surrounded by animals or our family farm. Orchard Cottage has a stunning location that overlooks a large pond and acres of fields beyond. We have a three tier garden with plenty of space to play and explore. The guests are welcome to get up and close to the animals and animal encounters happen daily.
Please note that we are currently only letting Orchard Cottage, while Cider press is being refurbished.
Orchard Cottage
Arrive at Orchard Cottage which is an old converted stable block and is absolutely charming inside and out. With three spacious bedrooms and overlooking the duck pond, it has a stunning location on the farm. It offers large open plan living, cosy relaxing spaces and the chance for all the family to be together with plenty of room. This inviting cottage is comfortable and is equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your time away.
The bright and airy kitchen/ diner has a fridge, oven and plenty of cupboards with cooking equipment should you wish to cook up a feast. Looking for somewhere to unwind in the evenings? Then the cosy living area will provide the perfect space. Also on this level is a separate shower room and utility room. I hope you are currently imaging your family all gathered around the large farmhouse table playing games, enjoying delicious food and a room full of smiles.
Moving onto upstairs you will uncover a large newly refurbished bathroom for washing off salty, sandy or muddy toes after a day of fun. This fascinating cottage also has three bedrooms, a family room (King/single bed), twin room and a double room. This comfortable living accommodation is the perfect base to allow your children to explore the bustling garden, roam in the fields and to get up close to the animals. Ground floor: lounge with coal burning effect LPG fire and double sofa bed. Large kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Shower room with basin and wc.
First floor: three bedrooms (one family room with double and single bed, one with double bed and one with twin beds), bathroom with bath, shower head, basin and wc. Private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.
Animals
Visit today and meet all our furry and feathery friends. All around the farm you will you will find lots of different animals to stroke, feed and play with. You can join us on our daily feeding rounds, search for freshly laid eggs in the hen house and get to learn about how we care for our special friends.
