Visit Devon’s Director, Sally Everton, has been busy driving promotion internationally and encouraging visitors to come to Devon.
In January Sally has been working on the following:
Domestic:
Profiles submitted and uploaded for VisitDevon members for Biz Tourism onto MiceBook -to enable visability for event agents
VisitEngland Events team - opportunities for VisitDevon PCMA and funding. Forward out to relevant members
Various meetings with our members - wanting closer involvement with our activities throughout 2019
Meeting with South West Coast Path - re collaborative working
Submit 5 itineraries - 3- 5 days for Spring Breaks for VisitBritain digital platform
North Devon AGM and Conference - table showcasing VisitDevon
Meeting with GWR continuing the commercial partnership
Devon and Cornwall Sports Awards dinner with Plymouth Pavillion and Westcountry Publications
MIA update and member benefits and accreditation for our members (Biz Tourism)
VisitDevon Members update day
Sales calls to agents in London - Kuoni, JTB
Meet with Rob Johnson - Exeter Airport re collaborative partnerships at trade events
Various press and blogger requests for images etc
Press and blogger pieces
TravelSquire - hosted journalist from US as a result of meeting at VEMEX NYC. South West England made top 28 destinations to visit in the world.

Develop partnerships with tour operators/DMC's and with local partners and tour guides
Continue to develop thematic itineraries to fit our 5 themes
Prepare content for trade interviews to take to chosen tour operators/DMC's
Various meetings throughout the month with VisitCornwall, VisitSomerset and project co-ordinator
Various conference calls with the US over the month with Simon Bradley,US based project consultant
Organise members update for all 3 counties - Simon Bradley (US consultant working with us) to present research and feedback on key insights from the trade in the US (tour operators and DMCs
Host Simon Bradley and plan next stage of project - sales mission
