Weddings at Roadford Lake
Book Tickets Online
Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor is the spectacular Roadford Lake. This 740 acre lake, surrounded by rolling countryside, is a unique location for your special day. Its breath-taking views and romantic woodland walks make Roadford a perfect choice for your wedding celebrations.
With its convenient location, just off the A30 between Okehampton and Launceston, ample parking and two reception rooms, Roadford offers a flexible approach to your day, whether you want a small, simple celebration or a large gathering with family and friends.
A Day to Remember
At Roadford you can enjoy the use of our rooms overlooking the water. With an outdoor covered terrace, your guests can spill outside to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or an evening hog roast. Children will love the outdoor play area, making it easy for families to relax and enjoy the day together.
Once the formal celebrations are over, you and your guests can take advantage of the space available including the terrace and grass amphitheatre, both with the lake as the backdrop. A short walk away is the striking 6m stainless steel sundial, created for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and now the perfect spot for that unique photo to remember your day by.
In the evening, dance to your disco, live band or tailor your night’s entertainment to suit you – the wedding team can help with ideas and contacts.
We have two unique rooms, Burrator and Fernworthy, which are both licenced for marriage and civil ceremonies.
These two modern spaces overlook the stunning lake, giving you a fantastic view of the water on those hot summer days. Each room offers flexibility in terms of the format of your day and a blank canvas so that you can give the decoration and style your own individual touch.
Stunning views, contemporary rooms and a range of catering options on offer makes Roadford Lake the perfect choice for your special day. But don’t just take our word for it, please contact our enthusiastic team who will be on hand to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
