Highbullen Hotel are delighted to introduce Laura Ashley The Tea Room which recently opened at the hotel. It is the fourth Laura Ashley The Tea Room to open in the UK, each tea room is tastefully decorated with a range of teas, food items and special experiences including wine and champagne afternoon tea.
Guests can expect traditional afternoon tea favourites, with a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and fruit preserves and irresistible cakes and pastries, the menu is updated regularly so returning guests can be sure of a wonderful experience with each visit.

Laura Ashley are proud to present their Tea Rooms.  All the tea rooms are decorated in signature Laura Ashley style and the Highbullen Hotel is no exception. Set in the Victorian building of the Highbullen Hotel, with unrivalled views across Exmoor, this is a charming way to experience a quintessentially British treat for all occasions with an extensive selection of homemade cakes, sandwiches and teas.

Visiting Laura Ashley The Tea Room at Highbullen allows guests to indulge in the best Afternoon Tea that North Devon has to offer. The menu includes a delicious selection of home-made cream teas, full Afternoon Teas, brunch throughout the day and children’s afternoon teas, meaning you will be spoiled for choice. The menus also have a range of Laura Ashley loose-leaf teas to compliment your food.

The menus can be viewed on our website and has a range of hot and cold foods to tempt you. Try our eggs benedict and home smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to start your day, or why not sample the Savoury Afternoon Tea where you’ll find a range of delicious dishes ready to compliment your choice of tea including hot fish goujons with tartare sauce to home-made warm duck and quail scotch eggs. Our full afternoon tea has a combination of home-made sandwiches, cakes and the exquisite buttermilk scones. All the menus include allergen advice and special dietary requirements can be catered for. We also offer a separate vegan and gluten free menu for guests, so everyone can indulge in the wonderful tradition of afternoon tea in Devon.

It is the perfect place to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea, a light snack or brunch  amongst the beautiful decoration you can expect from designer, Laura Ashley. As you can imagine, Laura Ashley the Tea Room is a popular place for residents and guests so advanced booking is advised.
