Dining at The Barnstaple Hotel

About

Don’t miss out on mouth-watering cuisine and a choice of luxurious places to eat while in Barnstaple.

At the Barnstaple Hotel, they are one of the best places to eat in Barnstaple because they offer a fabulous choice of dining options, extensive menus to ignite the taste buds and friendly service too!
Whether you’re a guest staying at the hotel, a local, or on a day trip, you are welcome to join The Barnstaple Hotel for a meal. You can choose from the Brasserie or the Heanton Bar for lunch or dinner, once you’ve sampled what’s on offer, you’ll understand why they are one of the best rated places to eat in town.

The Brasseries is the setting for outstanding cuisine in contemporary and stylish surroundings for a more formal meal, whereas the Heanton Bar is a relaxed, but high-quality space idea for a business lunch or friendly get together.
For those enjoying the onsite leisure facilities (including the two swimming pools), you also have the option of using the Aqua Bar, for a much more more relaxed dining experience.
Whichever you choose, the team of chefs are highly creative and take real pride in serving you fantastic cuisine, which is always beautifully presented.

The Brasserie Restaurant

With its contemporary styling and light, airy feel, the Brasserie Restaurant has an atmosphere that is all its own. It's the perfect setting in which to sit back and enjoy the fine cuisine prepared by executive chefs and a very talented team.

The imaginative menu is bursting with many dishes that feature fresh, local produce. You can choose from the table d'hôte menu, which is changed daily, or the a la carte menu, together with a tempting selection of fine wines. Non-residents are welcome and the restaurant is happy to help with any special dietary requirements.

Heanton Bar

With its excellent bar and welcoming atmosphere, The Heanton Bar is a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day. Sit back and enjoy the flat screen, enjoy a light snack or linger over a cocktail while trying to pick something from the menu! The imaginative and varied Bar Menu features an excellent choice of exciting dishes, from traditional favourites to contemporary cuisine, and all freshly prepared in the restaurant kitchen by the same expert team of chefs.

Sunday Carvery

The delightful surroundings of the recently refurbished Arlington Suite and Brasserie form the setting for a popular and well known Sunday Carvery, which is served from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm. Expertly prepared, it's a real feast complemented by a choice of delicious puddings and desserts.

Private dining

If you are looking to host a wonderful private dinner or luncheon, then let The Barnstaple Hotel create it for you. They have a selection of four private rooms, one of which is bound to be right for you, dressed to create just the style and atmosphere you are looking for.

The chefs will prepare a delicious meal from fresh, local produce, and this can include personalised menus and drinks package. For larger groups, the Arlington Suite is one of the most spectacular function rooms in North Devon. And the pretty Pilton Suite or the airy Ashford Suite (with its own bar) make fabulous settings for smaller private parties.

To find out more or to book a table please call the hotel on 01271 376221 or email reservations@barnstaplehotel.co.uk

Don’t forget to head online to their website to take a look at a wide range of sample menus. There are options especially designed for children, as well as breakfast and main menus for all the restaurants.
