Places to Stay in Dawlish

If you are looking for a traditional, British sea side holiday, there are few places better than Dawlish. This Victorian resort town can be found within the Torbay, just a stone’s throw from Torquay and Teignmouth and on the main train route through Devon, making it easily accessible and a good choice for anyone who wants to spend time in the English Riviera.

Aside from its closeness to the attractions of Torquay, Dawlish has its own blue flag beach and nature reserve as well as a picturesque brook running through the centre of town where you can spot the town’s iconic black swans, which have been on the river since the 1900s.

Facilities, fun and family friendly

When it comes to places to stay in Dawlish, there are a whole host of different options but perhaps the most popular are the holiday parks which can be found around the town. These parks all give you all the facilities you could want for a family holiday, with a choice of accommodation options, so you can holiday within your budget and with the space you need.

As well as holiday parks, you’ll find a number of other self-catering options, like apartments with a sea view and cottages on the outskirts of the town. Alternatively, you can stay in one of the local Bed and Breakfasts, where you can enjoy a proper Devonian breakfast or choose a hotel. The hotels in and around the town are comfortable, full of luxury and are often within former Victorian mansions.

Fancy something a bit different? Why not give glamping a go? You can find places to do that in the Dawlish area too!
