Day 1: Discover Plymouth
Morning
Explore central Plymouth and the historic quarter of The Barbican and Sutton Harbour - the heart of the city's heritage. Around the Barbican you’ll find cobbled streets, narrow lanes and more than 200 Listed Buildings, housing cosmopolitan boutique shops, galleries, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Afternoon
After lunch in one of Plymouth’s many restaurants, take a naval and harbour cruise. Sail across the Plymouth Sound and see both the beautiful Devon and Cornish coasts from one glorious vantage point. View Plymouth Hoe from the water, the famous Drakes Island, and head for the river Tamar where mighty warships and nuclear submarines await!
Evening
Take a guided tour of Plymouth Gin Distillery and learn about the art of making this award-winning drink. Enjoy a tutored tasting of the range and then relax with a cocktal in its Refectory cocktail lounge – where the Pilgrim Fathers are said to have spent their last night before setting sail in the Mayflower to the New World.
Day 2: Discover Dartmoor
Morning
Travel to Dartmoor National Park – remote and mysterious, yet less than 10 miles from central Plymouth. Here, you and your team can test your mettle at climbing, hiking, kayaking, cycling, riding, walking, fishing, all with expert guidance of course – and in the most stunning surroundings.
Afternoon
After your activities, retire to one of Dartmoor’s many country house hotels for a very well-deserved Devon cream tea of scones, cream, jam – and perhaps Champagne! If you’ve chosen one of the larger hotels perhaps relax in the in-house spa to soothe any aching muscles, before taking a stroll in the grounds and taking in some more of the spectacular Dartmoor scenery.
Evening
Head back in to Plymouth for dinner and a show. Plymouth has two large theatres and a number of smaller venues, where you could catch a play, show or gig from world-famous or emerging artists.
Number of results: 30
, currently showing 1 to 20.
