The Great Hall
During your stay you will have exclusive use of the Great Hall.
Historically, all Manors had a ‘Great Hall’ and Wootton Manor is no exception. The Great Hall was the hub of the Manor - not only was this the place of food and warmth but all manorial business was conducted here including the manorial courts. Among many interesting features that can be found here include the original bread oven and creamery, along with the wooden bench and wood panelling, which are also incredibly old.
Today, a roaring log fire will keep you toasty warm on those colder days whilst you enjoy the breath-taking and far-reaching views through the large Hall windows.
Breakfast is served within the Great Hall, seated around the large polished dining table.
Booking the ‘Entire Guest wing’ will give you exclusive use of the ‘Exmoor Suite’ ‘The garden Room’ and the ‘Great Hall’ complete with your private entrance to the manor via the Ancient Front Door !
