You do not need to be a shepherd to enjoy a relaxing time in our snuggly Shepherds hut. Comfy Double bed, underfloor heating, hob, fridge and en-suite with shower and WC means you are Glamping in style.
You can find our Shepherds hut nestled within a wild and wooded area in the large garden of Tor Royal Farm, which was built by Sir Thomas Tyrwhitt to farm Dartmoor for the Prince Regent, so no ordinary farmhouse.
What Shepherds hut would be complete without a wood fired hot tub? And that is exactly what is our added extra, you can sit in the hot and steamy tub in the evening and listen to the sounds of the countryside whilst it slows down for the night – all under a starry sky (hopefully).
In the hut you will find breakfast goodies to start your holiday off in style – coffee, tea and fruit juice, farm fresh eggs when the hens are laying, oats and cereal, bread, butter and of course biscuits.
The double bed has a duvet, four pillows and is dressed with large cushions and a woolly throw.
We supply bath robes and flip flops to make your hot tub dip easier, there are towels for the shower, but if you want to bring your own towels for after your dip, please do.
There are books and games to keep you busy and of course a radio – no wifi but 4G is available.
We supply the wood for the hot tub boiler ad will have it heated for you on your arrival, if you wish us to fire up the boiler on consecutive days there will be a small charge of £4 per day – otherwise we will leave the logs for you to do as you wish.
There is a fire pit for your evenings sat outside, again we can supply logs at £5 a sack.
We hope you will enjoy your stay in Tor Royal Shepherds hut and will want to stay again another time.

From the A38 follow take the Pear Tree junction to Princetown and Two Bridges, when you approach Princetown look out for our brown tourist sign on the left – you will find us at the bottom of the hill on Tor Royal lane.
From Plymouth/Cornwall, take B3212 to Princetown, over moors and when you enter the village we are the first turning right after small roundabout.
Princetown is not renown for public transport, there is a bus from Yelverton which to Tavistock and Plymouth. In the summer there is a small bus which moves around the moorland villages a couple of times a day.
