Map & Directions

Road Directions

The Old Bakery is located right in the centre of Georgeham behind the village shop. A plan of the village is provided to all guests.  You can offload in our driveway then we ask guests to park in the village car park which is almost opposite and free.

The car park even has an electric charge point!

From the north and east, the quickest route is to take the A361 North Devon link road from the M5 Junction 27. When you reach the roundabout on the outskirts of Barnstaple, continue initially towards Bideford, then continue on the A361 by turning right at a large roundabout and following the signs to Ilfracombe over the bridge across the estuary, then left at the traffic lights and on to Braunton.

In Braunton turn left at the traffic lights and follow the signs to Georgeham via Croyde.

Alternatively there is a shorter but narrower route over the hill from the outskirts of Braunton. Instead of turning left at the traffic lights, continue straight on towards Ilfracombe. As you leave the town just before the 40 speed limit  sign, look out for a turning to the left with a small sign to Georgeham on the right.

Alternatively, why not make the drive part of your holiday? For more leisurely and scenic routes, try coming over Exmoor, or along the coast via Minehead and Lynton.

Coming from the south and west via Bude, follow the A39 then turn left onto the A361 at the roundabout before going over the bridge across estuary.

Coming from Exeter use the A377 then turn left on to the A361 and continue as above.

(Detailed instruction available on request)

Public Transport Directions

You can get to Barnstaple by coach, or by train via Exeter, which is on the main London to Penzance line.

From Barnstaple, Bus 21 provides an hourly service via Braunton and Croyde right to the centre of Georgeham where we are located.
