About

Winner – Best B&B in the World!  (TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2019 & 2020)

If you think of Fawlty Towers when you think of Torquay then think again!

Funky design meets cutting-edge technology in this recently refurbished adults only boutique B&B. Where else would you find “Frank” the zebra with his angelic halo?  Or how about the rainbow mannequin light in reception?  This is the true meaning of boutique – offering something a little different on a small scale with impeccable customer service.

It’s easy to see why their exacting standards have won so many fans. The attention to detail is evident everywhere.

The 25 offers five individually styled luxurious bedrooms to relax in, each with a fabulous en-suite.  Some rooms have their own lounge, others have baths, one has a dressing room, all have air conditioning. They are all very different so exploring the bedrooms on their own website before booking is advised where you’ll find plenty of photos of the bedrooms and bathrooms, along with several videos and full descriptions of the rooms to help you make your choice. Some guests always stay in their favourite room (booking up to a year in advance to guarantee it), whereas other returning guests like to try a different room each time.

You’ll be greeted warmly, with a complimentary welcome drink, served with Andy’s famous chocolate brownies and receive great service throughout your stay. You’ll also appreciate lots of little touches you just don’t get elsewhere and it’s these little things that are most often commented on by regular guests. Every aspect has been thought about and planned to make your trip to this B&B in Torquay special.

Offering enough free onsite parking for all five rooms, with a car charging point, you’ll find the beach only a ten minute flat walk away via the grounds of Torre Abbey, the closest tourist attraction. Many restaurants are in walking distance with hosts Andy and Julian able to point you in the direction of the best restaurants in Torquay to suit any taste or budget. Many tourist attractions are also a short walk away.

It’s easy to get about without a car. The train station is a handy five minute walk, which means you can arrive by train, or use it to get to various towns like Dawlish, Exeter, Plymouth and Newton Abbot. There’s even a couple of steam trains to go on too. Torquay harbour offers a number of regular ferries to neighbouring ports such as Brixham (famous for its fresh fish), Paignton (with its pier and long sandy beach) and Dartmouth (a pretty harbour town). There’s also a good bus service and a land train.

Fast Wi-fi, fluffy dressing gowns, Nespresso coffee makers, fresh milk, free movies on demand, Elemis toiletries, iPads, high pressure showers, homemade biscuits, Amazon Echo, super comfortable beds, air conditioning and mood lighting all come as standard at The 25.

In some rooms you’ll also find extras like a slipper bath, super-king beds and bathroom TVs.

Explore their website and look at the long list of awards they’ve won since opening and you’ll realise that if you’re staying in Torquay on the English Riviera then there’s really no other place to stay.

The 25 does not take children so it's a relaxing place to stay and there's ample parking and free Wi-Fi.  They also don’t take dogs, but they do have a cute miniature Schnauzer of their own who likes to welcome guests.

Book direct for the best price - guaranteed.  Better still, join their VIP Guest List via their website to receive a host of extras like a complimentary minibar and late check out.

Location : 10 min level walk to the seafront through the picturesque Torre Abbey Gardens and then on to the harbour which is another 10 mins. Taxis are also plentiful.

Torquay has many wonderful restaurants and the English Riviera has more things to do than any other UK resort so you’ll never get bored!
