Set in the most beautiful of countryside locations, a break with Ocean Reach is a must for anyone wanting a tranquil, restful holiday surrounded by gorgeous views.
Located on the National Trust’s Bolberry Down, Ocean Reach comprises of three holiday homes all with sea views, balconies and gardens and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The development borders the popular South West Coast Path, giving you easy access to walking trails and peaceful coastal walks all across Devon.
Bolberry Down is a quiet hamlet nestled within the South Devon countryside which leads up to Bolberry Down and Ocean Reach, making this ideal for anyone wanting a restful and tranquil holiday.
Choose from three different homes giving you views over Burgh Island, Thurlestone and Bigbury Bay while on clear days, it is even possible to catch sight of Cornwall’s Lizard Point. Number Seven Ocean Reach comfortably sleeps four and has two balconies to sit and enjoy the panoramic views. Number Nine Ocean Reach is suitable for two guests and includes a west facing garden while Number Ten Ocean View is a first floor apartment that sleeps two with a balcony complete with tables and chairs so you can dine alfresco and enjoy the sea views.
All three properties are tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings, free wifi and parking. While guests are welcome to use the onsite restaurant and take away service, the homes are equipped for those wanting to prepare and cook their own food. Each property has a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and a large fridge/freezer.
The properties at Ocean Reach are a real home from home, each one includes a welcome pack with all the essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk and towels and bed linen are included. Guests will also find the properties well stocked with paperback books, DVDs and a TV, so in the event of bad weather or even just for spending an evening in with the family, you’ll have everything you need. Ocean Reach truly is a home from home.
All of the properties are pet friendly and many of the attractions, restaurants and activities in this area of Devon are dog friendly. Dogs are welcomed onto the beaches and across the various paths and walking trails making this a perfect location for anyone wanting to holiday with their four legged friends.
Onsite is the Oceans Restaurant and Bar, a newly built detached restaurant and bar. Featuring a range of locally sourced food that is cooked and presented to the highest of standards, the Oceans Restaurant and Bar are managed by a team of experienced caterers and great hosts with a passion for customer service making sure that every guest has a memorable time. Guests are welcome to dine at the Oceans Restaurant from 10 am every day, so whether you’re looking for a morning coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea or a hearty dinner, there will be something to suit everyone.
As soon as you open the front door of the properties at Ocean Reach you’re greeted with countless countryside and coastal walks including the South West Coast Path which links Devon’s most popular beaches. The site has incredible wide reaching views with secluded coves and beaches stretching across both directions. Guests will love this pretty area of Devon, the nearest towns are Kingsbridge and Salcombe where you can indulge in a spot of kayaking or paddleboarding along the estuary. Both towns are charming and have a variety of shops and eateries. A little further along is Totnes, which is famous for its quirky atmosphere and independent shops. The historic town of Dartmouth is also nearby with its harbour and castle, which are popular destinations for travellers.
Coastal destinations in the vicinity include Hope Cove and South Milton Beach which is ideal for anyone wanting to take part in watersports, or Bigbury on Sea where you can catch the famous sea tractor across to Burgh Island, visible from the properties and said to be one of Agatha Christie’s main inspirations.
