Moorparks Cottages consist of two, two bedroom cottages which have been converted from one of the original farm buildings. The cottages sit within the grounds of the farmhouse and amongst 12 acres of fields, animals, and fabulous views.
Each cottage has its own private garden, patio and garden furniture. The cottages have been recently refurbished to give a modern but homely feel. Both cottages have central heating, and a log burner for cosy nights in.
Moorparks is a fabulous base to explore from. With Dartmoor and Exmoor only 40 minute drive and the north Devon coast about half an hour away.
Moorparks is home to our rare breed sheep, alpacas, chickens and ducks.
You are welcome to join us at feeding time and to learn a little more about them.
On a clear day you can see Exmoor from the back of the property and Dartmoor to the front.
Situated just off the A3124, Moorparks is a fantastic place from which to explore the whole of Devon. Only 5 miles to RHS Rosemoor, 6 miles to the lively town of Torrington and 30 minutes to the North Devon seaside town of Westward Ho!
Moorparks cottages are popular with walkers and cyclists. The Tarka trail can be accessed easily at Torrington and many walking options available across Dartmoor and Exmoor.
A reverse-level accommodation, Moorparks Barn offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor,
1 king-size and 1 twin. Ground floor bathroom. Stairs leading to the lounge/diner, kitchen and cloakroom.
• Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC, on the ground floor. Separate WC, on the first floor.
• Lounge/diner: with woodburner (first basket of logs included) and Smart TV and DVD. Games and DVDs
• Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, DAB Radio with bluetooth.
• Outside: patio area with table, chairs and BBQ. Private garden with patio area and garden furniture, a playhouse with a toy Kitchen. Secure shed for your bikes, golf or fishing equipment. Garden games.
Changeover days are Friday & Monday
Originally a farm workers’ cottage, Moorparks Cottage offers the perfect holiday accommodation: TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request prior to arrival).
• Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Separate WC, on the ground floor.
• Lounge/diner: with woodburner (first basket of logs included) and Smart TV and DVD.
• Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer, DAB Radio with bluetooth.
• Outside: patio area with table, chairs and BBQ. Private garden with decked area, garden furniture.
The views from the kitchen window are of farmland which extends to Exmoor (on a clear day). The door from the kitchen leads outside to the cottage garden and decking.
Changeover days are Saturday & Tuesday
Ample off-road secure parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included.
The cottages sit within the grounds of Moorparks Farm and approx.. 11 acres of fields. Erik and Michele are always around looking after the animals and guests are always welcome to join them at feeding time or just for a wander about.
Suitable for babes-in-arms up to a year old, and over 4 year. (No stairgates)
Each property sleeps four people and one infant.
