Highbullen Hotel Golf and Country Club

About

Highbullen Hotel Golf and Country Club has been providing high quality accommodation in North Devon for many years. All of the rooms have been fully refurbished recently offering our guests luxury accommodation in this perfect setting.

Highbullen Hotel has a wealth of history and adventure set behind the impressive Victorian façade, having originally been a family home, before posing as classrooms for evacuees during the second world war. It became a hotel in 1963 and the current owners began their project to restore it to its former glory.  The Hotel, Restaurant and many of the facilities have undergone extensive refurbishment to create what is now a Gold Award-winning, leading hotel in North Devon.

Guests can choose from several options when booking accommodation with Highbullen. There are twelve rooms in the Manor House, all of which have been individually designed with colour schemes, furniture and fittings designed to match the atmosphere of each room. These rooms offer a luxurious stay with many stylish touches.
The 30 Estate Rooms have all been significantly modernised and offer comfort and elegance in the peaceful surroundings around the Estate. All the rooms have smart TVs and internet access throughout allowing you to stay connected during your stay.

In both the Manor House and the Estate, there are a selection of one and two bed rooms for you to choose from all with fabulous views and peaceful surroundings, perfect for those looking for a short break, activity stay, conference, wedding or summer holiday.

We offer several short break packages, including Tennis and Golf breaks giving guests a chance to experience the amazing settings of the Highbullen estate with added golf and tennis games included in the price.

Room rates at Highbullen vary depending on the seasons and the level of demand, so we would recommend contacting us directly to check the prices for your break. Some of our hotel rooms are also suitable for dogs, and dogs are permitted in certain parts of the hotel, so please check when booking and we can ensure that you are in one of our pet friendly rooms. Dog owners also have the option of using our onsite kennels during their stay. Hotel guests are welcome to use the hotel facilities, including the spa, gym, tennis courts and golf course while they are with us and these are open to wedding parties, holiday guests and delegates visiting us for a conference or other corporate event. Guests are also welcome to dine in our highly-rated eateries, the Devon View Restaurant, which offers fine dining and a regularly changing menu full of local produce, The Cellar, for more relaxed dining, the Club Bar and Laura Ashley The Tea Room, where you can sample a range of fine teas and experience a traditional Devon Cream Tea.

Highbullen is in North Devon and is well placed for visiting some of the area’s popular attractions, including Exmoor and the South West Coastal Path. We are conveniently placed for those approaching from London, as well as from Exeter. We are ten minutes from the North Devon Link Road and 25 minutes from the M5, putting you within easy reach of all the best places the region has to offer. Locally there are beautiful  nature trails and cycle paths, including the Tarka Trail as well as both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Park.
