We are a small, family run licensed guest house, located in Fore Street, Ilfracombe’s oldest street, which offers an array of varied quality restaurants. We are centrally located and are a short stroll to the High street, where you can find small shops, banks and chemists, the Harbour (Lundy sailing point) and the Seafront (Landmark theatre). We have a licensed bar and outside terrace, along with games room, which offer spectacular sea views and of Capstone Hill. We have 8 rooms, all shower ensuite, with complimentary toiletries (bath available).Well stocked beverage trays and flat screen, freeview, TV’s are offered as standard. Some rooms offer a sea view. Well groomed dogs are also welcome for a small charge. Our accommodation is spread over several floors and we have no lift and only one ground floor room, so we may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. Please call to discuss or advise at the time of booking if there are any mobility issues. Breakfast is included in the price and we cater for various diets. (Please advise on booking)We offer a choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, which is followed by various cooked options, including a Full English breakfast, haddock and kippers. We unfortunately have No onsite parking, however, reasonably priced pay and display carparks can be found nearby. Some free parking spaces can be found on the road outside the hotel, when available. Ilfracombe is not only an ideal location for those wishing to explore the beautiful surrounding areas such as Exmoor or the South West Coastal path( Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton sands are a ten minute drive away), but it also has a lot to offer, with tea rooms and several superb restaurants. We have many Art Galleries and Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’ statue, on the Pier, is a must see! Take a trip on one of the several boat trips to see the seals and dolphins, or take the Oldenburg ferry over to Lundy Island, to observe their famous puffins. We have a Five star food hygiene rating and local Tourist accommodation certificate and we pride ourselves on our cleanliness and our friendliness. From M5, off at junction 27.Follow A361 towards Barnstaple and then follow the signs to Ilfracombe. Go through the High Street ( No access from Seafront). At the end of the High Street, turn left by the Premier shop, go under the blue arch(Harbour and Fore Street) and go through the No Entry sign, because there is access for loading/unloading. The Harcourt is set back on the left 20yds.
Train to Barnstaple train station.
Regular bus services to/ from Ilfracombe, Barnstaple, Woolacombe, Combe Martin and nearby areas.
The Bus stop can be found just behind the hotel, along the Seafront.
Coach drop off is approximately a 5 minute walk to the hotel.
