Golden Bay Holiday Village, in the heart of Westward Ho! on the breath-taking North Devon coastline, has been run by the Hall family since 2015 it was built on the grounds of the prestigious Royal Hotel fifty years ago. Guests have direct access to the award-winning blue flag Westward Ho! beach via a purpose-built wheel chair friendly ramp through a row of traditional multi-coloured beach huts.
There are a number of accommodations to choose from when staying at Golden Bay Holiday Village.
The Beach cottages offers comfortable accommodation for couples and families and sleeps either 4 or 6. It comprises of an open plan lounge, diner and modern, well-equipped fitted kitchen. The bathrooms have either a shower or bath/shower combo and everything has been designed to maximise space and make for a delightful stay. Facilities at the cottage include a kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and full sized fridge/freezer, bathroom with WC, shower and bath, ample free parking, flat screen TV with DVD player and freeview.
Alternatively, there are the Lighthouse Views. These are perfect holiday homes whether you’re travelling with family or friends. You’ll enter into a light entrance lobby, leading to two spacious bedrooms and a generous family bathroom on the ground floor. This property includes a utility room with washer/dryer and a private rear patio. Upstairs is awash with natural light thanks to the skylights above, there you’ll find a designer, open plan kitchen, dining and living area with double doors leading out onto a private balcony with far reaching sea views.
Lundy Bungalow is our most enviable holiday home due to the décor, size and amazing views across the ocean. You’ll find a contemporary open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with three large en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests. With triple aspect views across the ocean and glass doors that open to reveal your own private deck, Lundy lets you embrace the full feel of the ever-changing ocean. Staying at Lundy gives you three ensuite bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, a high spec kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, three contemporary bathrooms and separate WC, along with all the other features you would expect from a luxury holiday home.
Our sea front accommodation, Sea Front Houses, offers luxurious views from well-presented spacious New England style properties. Primely located, these beautifully finished houses are situated at the bottom of our site, with only the below beach huts between you and the promenade! With stunning views across the ocean, these properties have a contemporary open plan living area, dining and kitchen area with a high vaulted ceiling in the lounge. Floor to ceiling glass windows link the living space to the outdoors and the large private deck allows for al-fresco dining with panoramic views of the ocean. This property sleeps up to six guests. There are two bedrooms, one double, one twin with fitted wardrobes, high spec kitchen, two contemporary bathrooms and large mezzanine open floor, which can either be a second lounge, or third bedroom with bed settee.

Golden Bay Holiday Village is a perfect location all year round for family holidays and short breaks, guests can choose between luxury and budget self-catering options, plus we are centrally located for many family attractions and places of interest with village shops and eateries and of course, the blue flag beach all a short stroll away.

From M5 take junction 27 then A361 and follow this road to Barnstaple.
Turn left on the A39 to Bideford and after approximately 10 miles you go over the new bridge, straight over the next roundabout, then approximately 1.5 miles take the turning on the right B3236 for Westward Ho!
Follow this road down the steep hill and round the sharp bend and immediately turn left into Merley Road. Our entrance is on the right.
