Nestled within 18 acres of private rolling grassland on the fringes of Dartmoor National park are two beautiful yurts, Great Links and Little Links, named after two of the tors on Dartmoor that Borough Farm looks onto. Each luxurious yurt is finished to the highest of standards, each sited in secluded locations on this charming Devon Farm. Inside the yurts you will find full sized beds made with 100 percent egyptian cotton. Carpets, rugs and our own sheepskins adorn the floors and there is a log burner to keep you toastie warm. Your log fire is laid for you and you have a basket of logs on the hearth as well as lanterns to create a golden glow in the evening. All cooking and dining equipment is provided for. Outside, each yurt has their own private garden and paddock area with a fire pit for BBQ’s and toasting marshmallows, there is further outdoor seating and even your own private log fired fresh water hot tub where you can soak away the day watching the stars pop out on a dark sky and listing to the owls. Each yurt has its own toilet close to the yurt as well as use of the shared shower barn with its rain head shower, wet room style bathroom and full length glass walls which offer an unrivalled view to the moors. An exquisite vintage loo and high quality laundry and fridge/freezer facilities are provided. If you prefer, you can take a tented bath in our charming bath tent whilst overlooking the moors. In fact, at Devon Yurt, you just need to bring yourselves and a sense of wonder to create your perfect holiday filled with treasured memories. One guest described Devon Yurt as like a hotel, but with more space and privacy, however, there is a warning, the charm of this Devon Farm will get to you, our guests write.. ‘This place is now one of my favourite places in the world’ - others don’t venture far once they arrive here, saying ‘with a view like that why go anywhere else ? ‘ Here at Devon Yurt, we pride ourselves on our friendliness and service. We offer breakfasts delivered to your yurts, home made food for suppers, BBQ packs including our own farm reared rare breed lamb, vegetables and fruit straight from the garden and elderflower cordial as a welcome drink which is made on the farm in June each year when the flowers are at their best. Every guest creates a different holiday depending on their interests, choose from days spent on the north cornwall coast, exploring the river Tamar in the TamarValley AONB - ambling through Lydford Gorge on Dartmoor. Eating at quaint Dartmoor pubs or staying put and enjoying playing board games together or table top games in the Play barn or games in the meadow, or even yoga in The Loft barn, or spend time meeting and feeding the animals. The Choice is yours, we provide the destination, you create the holiday of your choice.
