Just because you’re heading off on holiday, it doesn’t mean your four-legged friends have to stay behind with a collection of more than 800 pawsome cottages, Canine Cottages is the place to look if you’re after a pawfect dog-friendly holiday in Devon!
We know that when you go on holiday, you don’t want to leave anyone at home, our dogs are part of the family, so why should they miss out? All of our cottages welcome dogs, with some even accepting as many as five! Each has been chosen for its dog-friendly features, ranging from enclosed gardens to welcome packs filled with treats. You and your furry friends can indulge in a sport of luxury with our lavish cottages, book a spontaneous trip or discover a cosy bolthole in the countryside for a romantic hideaway or family adventure making sure your canine companion can always join you on your adventure, don’t worry though, the cottages are a home from home for our human guests too!
So, fetch the family, pack the bones and take a holiday that is sure to set tails wagging.
You’ll find our cottages in some of Devon’s prettiest locations, whether it’s the sunny shores of the English Riviera, the rolling moors of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, or the unspoilt towns, villages and coastline of North Devon. Each is well-placed to explore the local area – you’ll never be far from some of the region’s top attractions, many of which are dog friendly, as well as a nice and relaxed local pub!
We have a variety of cottages to suit all kinds of holidays, whether you’re seeking a romantic break, a countryside hideaway on a working farm, a family holiday by the sea or a luxury getaway.
You’ll find several finishing touches and features guaranteed to make you feel at home, including warming log fires, four-poster beds, spacious gardens, comfortable furnishings and even bubbling hot tubs at some of the cottages in our collection. Head to our website to check out the whole collection and find your dream holiday in Devon.
Using Canine Cottages as a base, you can easily head to a number of locations, such as Woolacombe which not only has an award-winning beach, but the town is known for its biscuits – might be worth a visit just for that! The beach is three miles of beautiful sand with interesting landscape to catch your eye and many surfers to watch, or perhaps join in with and even has a variety of zones so you know exactly which bits your pooch can explore!
Other areas your dog may enjoy include Dartmoor and Exmoor, where they can run around miles of grass and woodland and make friends with some of the wild ponies. The cottages in these locations are perfect for fans of walking holidays as there are many walking trails in this part of Devon, there are even cycling holidays for those of you with large dogs that need lots of exercise but not necessarily the stamina to keep up with them!
If you’re planning your holiday with us, our team have put together a list of the best beaches, attractions and walks and can offer you all the best advice for exploring with your canine companions, whether it’s your dog’s first holiday or one in a long line, there are always fun new things in the region to see and do, so make sure to check with our friendly staff to find out all the latest attractions and to check which beaches to visit depending on the seasons.
Forget leaving the beloved family pet behind – dogs are always welcome at our Devon cottages!
