Multi award winning ‘Brackenhill Glamping’ will offer you unforgettable holidays in Devon.
Just a stone’s throw from Dartmoor National Park, the village of Ugborough is perfectly situated for you to explore all that South Devon has to offer. Whether you are looking to experience the moor, the coast or are keen to explore Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, Brackenhill Glamping is the place for you. The beautiful beaches of Bantham, Bigbury and Mothecombe are under a 30 drive from here. A short walk followed by a connection to a local bus service will take you the 15 miles into Plymouth if you fancy leaving the car behind.
The 1.5 acre glamping field lies in a peaceful location on the edge of the village with views across the valley and of the beautiful church known locally as ‘the cathedral of the South Hams’. There are two excellent pubs in the village, The Ship and The Anchor, which are both a five-minute walk from here.
There is plenty of space for the kids to roam within view of the safari tents….and it won’t be long before they discover the willow den and mud kitchen. You can enjoy sitting around a campfire in the evenings listening to the local wildlife, toasting marshmallows and making memories.
We have just two beautifully furnished safari tents ‘Glow Worm’ and ‘Slow Worm’ both with their own two person wood - fired hot tub. Glow Worm is the smaller of the two tents and sleeps four to five over two separate rooms with room for a baby in a cot or use of a fold out bed. Slow Worm sleeps up to seven people in three separate bedrooms comprising a king, a bunk, a twin plus room for a travel cot.
The tents are complete with internal shower rooms (so no chilly dash to the loo in the night!), kitchens with electric kettles, toasters and induction hobs – our largest tent even has an oven and a dishwasher. Comfortable leather sofas and cosy blankets are perfect for relaxing in front of the log fire inside the tent.
We have a small honesty shop onsite with a few essentials such as marshmallows, milk, cereal, locally produced ice creams, sweets and snacks plus charcoal and wood for your BBQ and campfires. Your tent comes with a welcome pack consisting of complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. A complimentary basket of logs will also be provided.
INSIDE YOUR SAFARI TENT YOU WILL FIND….
Fully equipped kitchens with crockery, cutlery and utensils
Electric hob (and oven and dishwasher in Slow Worm)
Fridge
Electric lights and power points for chargers
A wood burning stove
Beds made with hypoallergenic duvet, pillows, cotton bed sheets and extra blankets
One set of towels
The tents have their own internal bathroom, with flushing loo, sink and shower
