Authers Cottage Glamping

About

Rural Glamping in Beautiful Devon Countryside

Our traditional canvas bell tent is set in your own field overlooking the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills, where you can enjoy exceptional peace and tranquility. The tent is furnished with 2 comfortable single beds including all linens, towels and is complete with an outdoor camp cooker and a Kadai firepit. The pretty fishing village of Beer is only a 20 minute drive away, with the stunning Jurassic coast and glorious Dartmoor within easy reach. Located on the edge of a small, quiet village in the heart of Devon farming countryside, we are away from the bustle of city life yet still only 10 minutes from the market town of Honiton and only 20 minutes from the seaside.

The perfect rural retreat for couples to escape to. Relax and unwind in this beautiful spot with green fields and trees as far as the eye can see, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. At night, with very little light pollution, you can enjoy a glass of wine sitting by the open fire gazing at the stars on a clear night. Then cosy up inside the bell tent with fairy lights and candles for a truly atmospheric experience. Your private off grid facilities include an al-fresco hot gas shower hidden amid bamboo bushes and a natural composting toilet. A 2 burner gas camping cooker is set up for you to use together with a cool box and all the utensils you need to cook your breakfast and/or a simple meal. Included in the price is a breakfast hamper on your first morning which includes eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, home made granola, yoghurt and warm croissants with butter, jam and marmalade (or vegetarian alternatives). We can also offer a small choice of homemade meals to reheat on your camp cooker, all priced at £10 for 2 people and homemade cakes at £5 each.
