You'll find well-known names at festivals such as Beautiful Days, Let’s Rock and GoldCoast Oceanfest and more. Places like Powderham Castle, Exeter Castle and venues in Exeter and Plymouth regularly welcome big name stars, including the likes of Michael Buble and Coldplay.

Family festivals

Many of the music events in Devon are family-friendly, and cater for children really well. Expect to find special areas set aside for family accommodation when it’s an overnighter, as well as entertainment and amusements to keep the younger ones happy. Good festivals for families include Chagstock, Goldcoast Oceanfest, Beautiful Days and the River Cottage Festival.

Folk and country

Of course, we’ve a great tradition here in Devon of folk and ‘country’-style music, as well as both home-grown and visiting artists performing more recent incarnations of these genres. Visit music events such as Sidmouth Folk Week, Teignmouth Folk Festival and you’ll be treated to some of the best in British in this style of music, in idyllic surroundings.
