Discover Devon Heaven
The Alpaca Park in stunning Devon countryside offers a tranquil, uplifting experience for all age groups. The 100 acres are lovingly tended to encourage a peaceful, easy pace of life for its Alpacas, wildlife and visitors.
Our Alpacas live in beautiful settings and can be observed by following our two mile trail taking in the live Badger set, woodlands and the River Claw. Easy use of the stoned pathways and boardwalks make this trail a joy to discover with benches along the way to rest, relax and enjoy the birdsong and many, many varieties of native flowers and butterflies.
Recently awarded County Wildlife Status, our rare culm grasslands and wet woodlands host many different species of birds and small mammals such as otters and deer.
Devon Wildlife Trust has merited The Alpaca Park four Gold Awards for conservation, protection and access highlighting the level of care and environmental thought that has been levelled towards the running of The Alpaca Park.
We aim to be as sustainable as we possibly can and towards that end have developed our shop at The Park in which a variety of Alpaca goods may be purchased, later this year we hope to develop our own baby sleeping bags and dreamy duvets filled with incredibly soft, light Alpaca from our own herd, an indulgent luxury we are told that is rapidly becoming a ‘must have’ due to the unique properties of Alpaca fibre.
No visit would be complete without trying the marvellous homemade food prepared with love and passion to complement you, our visitor. We are proud to say that previous visitors arrived with high expectations, and we exceeded them. They felt they had Discovered Devon Heaven!
