Walk around the small streets of Totnes with many unique shops scattered amongst some favourites, with plenty of places to stop for lunch either on the waterside closeby, or in the town centre itself.

Available at the many farm shops in Devon is the fresh local produce that can be seen grown and reared on the fertile soil of its patchwork landscape. Try a local breed of cattle like South Devons or Red Rubys and enjoy the dairy produce that the area is known for, whether some clotted cream, fresh milk or locally made ice-cream. For those staying in self-catering accommodation and enjoy cooking, a visit to a farm shop could become a slap-up dinner, or for those wanting to take a gift home many farm shops sell ideal gifts such as food hampers.

Wherever you visit in Devon there are interesting independent shops to peruse selling clothes or gifts, jewellery or gadgets.
