Sharpham Vineyard and Cheese Dairy

Sharpham Vineyard is set in one of Devon's most magical locations. The beautiful 550 acre estate is set on the bank of the River Dart, with 12,000 vines basking in the sun on the south facing slopes. A range of English red and white wines are produced, which consistently win awards at National and International level, including the UKVA Most Outstanding Wine 2010 for the Estate Selection. The Estate also has a herd of 80 Jersey cows that graze the grassland whose milk is used for a range of handmade soft cheeses. The cheese dairy has viewing windows so visitors can view the process.

Sharpham Vineyard offers a range of tours, which include a scenic walk around the vineyard and along the river bank followed by a tasting of a selection of the wines and cheese (£5.95 & £8.95). Large groups by arrangement only. The vineyard shop sells the range of wine and cheese. During spring and summer there is a small cafe on site, The Vineyard Café, which sells excellent food all made from local produce and has recently been voted Best Al Fresco Restaurant of the Year 2012 by the Good Food Guide. Sharpham is open from March 1st - Christmas Eve, Monday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm. (Open 7 days a week during June, July, August & September).
