This is a linear route that links the two South Devon towns of Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey. It is aimed at good cyclists above the age of 11 years old, as 80% of the route is on road with traffic.

Bovey Tracey is one of the main gateway towns to Dartmoor and is home to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. The gallery has an exhibition space with themed shows throughout the year and a popular tea room and courtyard.

The historic old town of Newton Abbot is a bustling commercial centre and market town. The market operates every Wednesday and Saturday, with the adjacent Pannier indoor market hall opening six days a week.

Please note that this is not a Devon County Council maintained route. The traffic free sections are shared with walkers; cyclists should sound their bells when approaching other users and must give way to walkers.

This route is way marked with blue cycle way signs and also travels through Stover Country Park. Stover is owned and managed by Devon County Council and contains over 114 acres of woodland, heathland, grassland, lake and marsh and a substantial variety of wildlife. There is also a wealth of historical interest.
