Dog friendly Beaches in South & East Devon
Dogs allowed all year round:
Dogs allowed –restricted access:
Bantham No dogs on main part of beach.
Beer No dogs on western side of the beach between May and September
Bigbury-on-sea No dogs between May and September.
Blackpool Sands No dogs between May and September.
Bovisand No dogs between May and September.
Challaborough No dogs between May and September.
Coryton Cove No dogs between May to September.
Exmouth No dogs on the main beach between May to September.
Salcombe South Sands No dogs between May and September.
Wembury No dogs between May and September.
Hope Cove No dogs (May-Sept) on small cove; dogs on leads allowed on main beach.
Teignmouth Town Beach Dogs are not permitted between 1st May to 30th September along the seashore between the Slipway at Eastcliff and the Lighthouse. Dogs are to be kept on a lead in and around the Den & Promenade.
Shaldon Beach Dogs are not permitted between 1st May to 30th September along the seashore between the Clipper Quay and the steps to the beach approximately 410m the South East of Clipper Quay.
Dawlish Town Beach Dogs welcome to the left of the viaduct, all the way towards Dawlish Warren apart from 100 metres before the large red rocky outcrop.
Dawlish Warren Beach Dogs can be taken onto the beach between groyne 3 to 9 all year round. Dogs are not allowed beyond groyne 9 to Warren point.
Mothecombe Estuary and Wonwell Dogs are allowed on parts of the beach.
Seaton No dogs on main beach between May and September.
Sidmouth No dogs on main beaches between May and September.
Budleigh Salterton No dogs on main beaches between May and September.
