For a birthday present or a gift to yourself, the art and crafts on sale in the many craft centres and galleries in the county are items to treasure. Many local artists take inspiration from their surroundings so if you’ve fallen in love with the Devon landscapes, you can take away a piece of it by purchasing one of the excellent paintings or sculptures depicting it. Alternatively, visit one of the antiques centres where a treasure trove of items await whether jewellery or furniture, teddy bears or grandfather clock.
