Favourite Devon - insider tips on where to go in the county
At the 2010 Devon County Show we asked over 400 locals and visitors what their favourite place in Devon is and why - some knew straight away, others deliberated, a few couldn't choose!
Here's a selection of what they said:
"My favourite place is Asprington Point on the River Dart – When I was younger I swam, sailed, rowed, ran and camped there"
"Anywhere in the South Hams –pretty villages, lovely countryside, stunning coastline"
"My favourite place is The Byes Riverside Walk in Sidmouth – everyday you go there it’s unspoilt and beautifully peaceful. I have happy childhood memories playing there and now I take my 3 children to play there too"
