Free Taster Workshops at Duchy Square

Amongst the diverse selection of crafts on offer this year the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity is offering Free Taster Workshops for adults.

New Items for Old! - Creat unique designer soft furnishings from recycled materials, working alongside Duchy Square Artist Amanda Pellatt.

Dyeing Naturally! - Jane Deane will show you how to dye fabrics using local plants for dye extracts. This environmentally friendly and you can do it at home too!

Wild Weaving! - Amanda Pellatt and Jillian Morris will guide you through 3 sessions althogether for this event. First, a foraging walk and introduction to the weaving process and to the varied products that can used for weaving and a further two for the weaving of a finished product.

Felt Revived! - Learn how to make a beautiful scarf or bag adding "eco-friendly" fleece to recycled fabrics. Mary Toon will show you how an old craft has now been reborn in a new direction and the techniques adapted to become an environmentally friendly way of producing gorgeous new creations.
