Activities
- CampWild at Escot Park - Camping in yurts for 8-12 year olds - choose from 2, 3 or 5 nights or try a day camp. Woodland walks and games, swamp walks, falconry displays and
more. - Try a day's coasteering on the South Devon coast - traverse the coastline by climbing, swimming, scrambling, jumping and diving.
- Wildwise night paddle on the River Dart - meander up the river from Totnes, swim and listen to stories over supper around the campfire.
- RAMM events - While Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum is undergoing the final leg of its refurbishments, the RAMM events continue out and about througout Devon
- Treasure Trails - Explore Devon with the whole family on a Treasure Trail - Go by car, bike, or on foot - Get the kids out and about exploring the mysterious landscapes of Dartmoor or solve a murder mystery in Torquay, once home to queen of crime Agatha Christie.
- Meet Dr What and Professor Where at Powderham Castle's mad Science Week or join Captain Jack Sparrow's crew, follow the pirate trail and win a piece of treasure.

Great outdoors
- Devon's beaches - whether long and sandy or sheltered
and rocky, beaches are some of what Devon does best. Get live water quality information and check the surf forecast. - The moors - The atmospheric moors provide hours of natural entertainment from walking to rock climbing, horse riding to letterboxing. Explore Dartmoor and Exmoor.
- Cycle! There are off-road cycle trails throughout the county waiting to be explored inlcuding Haldon Forest Park
- Explore some of the lesser known outdoor spaces such as Black Hole Marsh on the River Axe and Venford Resevoir
- Grand Western Canal Country Park - Near Tiverton, the eleven mile long canal and surrounding country park is a great space for walking, boating, angling, cycling, picnics and barge rides!

On a pocket money budget
- Children get entry to Torre Abbey for just £1 this
summer
(1st May to 1st September with a paying adult) - 27th July Stream dipping at the Parke Estate for £2 per child (Accompanied by an adult - Booking essential) - Discover what lives in the leat with the aid of nets and microscopes.
- 17th July Peco Open Garden Day - Meet Dr Who and the Tardis at Pecorama for a garden open day for charity (donations appreciated).
- Climb to the top of Haldon Belvedere for one of the best views of Devon around.
Entry to the Belvedere costs £2 per adult, free for children (accompanied by an adult). - During August 16's and under can get into RHS Garden Rosemoor and join in the Great Garden Adventures for free
- Teignmouth's Teign Heritage Centre costs just £2 per adult and is free for children.
