If you are looking for a quintessential country pub serving great beer and the best local produce then you must try the Grove.
Located in the picturesque village of Kings Nympton the Grove Inn, on appearance, is just your typical thatched Devon pub boasting open-fires, low-beamed ceiling and crooked stone walls. Once inside it’s apparent that it’s more than this. You’ll be met with a warm welcome and the offer of Grove-made food, using fresh, quality ingredients sourced as close to home as possible. To wash this down there’s an extensive wine list offering 26 wines & champagnes, all by the glass, over 40 single malts from around the world, a constantly changing list of real ales from only West Country breweries and 2 ciders produced a few miles down the road.
The Grove Inn’s efforts have not gone unnoticed since the current owners opened in early 2003. Recently they have been named South West Dining Pub of the Year 2008, named North Devon’s Best Pub in 2007 & 2006, awarded Gold once & Silver twice in the Taste of the West Awards and recommended by the Good Beer Guide, Alistair Sawday Guide, AA Pub Guide, Good Pub Guide and Time Out Magazine January 2010.
