Sharpham House - Wildlife Watch Group Events

SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER
September announces the beginning of a fruitful harvest season, when berries, nuts and edible plants are beginning to grow in abundance. Join us for a walk round Sharpham Estate as we forage for food, and then compare recipes. If you have any recipe ideas, we'd love you to bring them along!

SUNDAY 3RD OCTOBER
This month we will be creating a living willow arch and a small fence for the Wildlife Watch Garden. There will be an opportunity to get involved with this, and we’ll also be learning all about
willow and some of its many uses.

SUNDAY 17TH OCTOBER
This is an extra session of part of Sharpham Estate’s popular apple day, so this wildlife watch group session will have an apple theme. We’ll be drinking mulled apple juice, and making
dampers on the fire. We’ll also be making apple print art and playing lots of themed games.

SUNDAY 7TH NOVEMBER
The weather will be getting colder, but by now Sharpham Estate is resplendent in different multi-coloured leaves as autumn is in full swing. We’ll be gathering these to make colourful
environmental art, as well as learning about how different animals begin to prepare themselves for winter. Once again, the fire will be lit to keep us warm!
