It wouldn't be summer without a strange tradition or two - in this case, the odd spectacle of watching people race and chase oranges down a steep high street in Totnes, South Devon.

The tradition reputedly dates back to the day Sir Francis Drake bumped into a delivery boy, causing him to spill his fast-moving fruit down the hill.
