If you enjoy live music, then be sure to make a note of some of the best music festivals Devon has to offer. But it’s not just for grown-ups; there are family music events to be found, such as at the GoldCoast Oceanfest in June. The choice of music is as broad as the number of events on offer. Visit Sidmouth Folk Week and you’ll be treated to some of the best in British folk, set in idyllic, rural surroundings. Chagstock is a fusion of funk, folk and blues. 

In addition to the local bands you’ll find at music festivals, you may be surprised to find big names headlining. Devon has put itself firmly on the map and is drawing some of the most respected performers in the UK.
