Dartmouth Castle Make Do and Mend
Each Monday in August come and prepare yourself as adults and children would have done at the outbreak of WW2. Get your identity card and ration book, learn about rationing, make your own gas mask box... but above all ‘Keep Calm’! Then every Tuesday in August, learn about the different men and women who defended and attacked these shores. Find out what the war was like for those at the front and at home, what was in an American soldier's pack, how the Home Guard defended us and whether a German soldier's rifle was better than the British soldier's?
