Noss Mayo

Noss and Newton (as they are generally known locally) are twin villages divided by a creek on the river Yealm. They are originally sustained by fishing and coastal transport, but as roads improved and fishing became uneconomic, Newton and Noss have settled into providing a haven for yachts and sailboats, and accommodation for holiday makers. Pubs and restaurants in both villages ensure you won't go hungry or thirsty. They are on the SWCP and there are lovely walks all around the Yealm's wooded flanks.
