Holcombe

On the hillside overlooking the sea between Teignmouth and Dawlish, Holcombe village has an attractive collection of cottages and thatched houses with colourful displays of flowers in the summer. Smuggling connections - walk down Smugglers Lane to the tiny inlet at the end of Teignmouth sea wall where booty was unloaded. There is a village pub, and at the bottom of the village Smugglers Lane provides access to the beach and sea wall path to Teignmouth. There is a church, pub and accommodation.
