Dulverton - Quality boutiques and gift shops

Dulverton is the Southern gateway to Exmoor. The small town stands between the rivers Barle and Exe which converge a mile or so down the valley. By the River Barle and Dulverton’s imposing bridge is Exmoor House, the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority. A special Caravan Club camp site is hidden away by the river, but in easy walking distance of all the facilities.

Dulverton has a population of just 1500, but will amaze the visitor with its many quality, independent shops, award winning restaurants and pubs, tea rooms and attractions, including the Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre, with different exhibitions throughout the year. The National Park Information Centre is in the centre of the town and shares premises with the local public library, with free internet access.

Dulverton is a lively town, with many different activities in which visitors are welcome to join in, such as the Annual Carnival, Folk Festival and concerts. Sports include tennis, kayaking and mountain biking.
