West Down is an small, friendly AA***** Highly Commended Farm Guest House combining utmost comfort with unobtrusive service from Roger & Brenda. It has well equipped, spacious en-suite rooms, large gardens and grounds, set in 25 tranquil acres. Ground floor and wheelchair accessible en-suite rooms are available with 'wet room@ facilities.
Winner of the AA 2011 Dinner Award, and recently awarded the North Devon Super Service Award and Best Guest House Award. Nothing is too much trouble and the home cooked four course dinner with a complimentary glass of wine adds the finishing touches to a truly wonderful day. After your meal relax in the spacious lounge with the large wood burner, a favourite spot when the weather is not so good to curl up with a book, or in summer, catch late sun-shine in our new conservatory - the choice is yours.
West Down is spacious and elegant without having lost that special feeling of homeliness. Located on the edge of Exmoor you are ideally situated for touring Glorious North Devon. We are close to the thriving North Devon market towns of Barnstaple, Torrington and the coastal resorts of Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth, Bideford, Instow, Clovelly. There are numerous National Trust, stately homes and renowned gardens such as RHS Rosemoor to visit.
